So if any of you are following along with the Holiday Grand Plan at Organized Christmas then you know that last week was List Week. It was also the week to clean our front porch.
The front porch is cleared and I just need to go out and wash the light fixture and the railings. I am hoping hubby has a chance this weekend to paint the trim on the front window.
That was the easy part, the part I am having difficulties with is the lists.
One of the lists we needed to make was of Gifts To Be Given. Here is my dilemma. I don't know what to get anybody this year. This has NEVER happened to me before. R will just be getting money because he has a school trip in the Spring. C wants a Nintendo DS which is a possibility but I have no idea what to get AD. Mainly I don't want to get my kids a bunch of toys. I want to get them new beds but if we get C the game system that won't happen because I do not want to spend that much per child.
So, what do you usually get your children? Do they get a lot of toys or do you invest in bigger ticket items for Christmas?

Because my girls are young we don't have a big issue. We get them one "big" gift to share, from "Santa", they each get one gift from us,one gift from each other and a few tiny stocking stuffers. That's it... Well, other than gifts from grandparents. We've never gone overboard and don't plan to.
Sorry I wasn't any help.
We do one big gift, and four or five small gifts. This year I think we are getting the kids...yeah I don't know. I think maybe gameboys, but I am not sure. It is hard this year, since they are both at new stages.
Now I am thinking about it...lovely. lol
