School supplies

I know like many other people our kids will be starting school in less than two weeks.

I have been working on getting school supplies for the older two. Today I finished up getting the supplies that they needed. R needed a binder that zips and I managed to find one that was $4.99 at Walgreens. I didn't really want to spend $10-15 on a binder when my son will most likely lose it at some point during the year.

I got C a new lunch box. The one I really like is from Pottery Barn Kids and costs $22.00.

I love that orange color and you can monogram them.

The one we got today is a cheap knock off. It was $5.99 at Walgreens. We got it in red though.

So, except for new shoes and haircuts that they are getting next weekend R and C have everything they need for school.

Now I have to start on AD. I made a unilateral decision that I need the nine hours of alone time each week for sanity purposes and so that I can get some stuff done around our house. That means that AD will be going to preschool. He doesn't need much, I can probably buy all his for $20.00 but seriously what is with the cost of binders? I can buy a 1" binder for $.97 and the price goes up to $2.47 for a 1.5". Oh, well. It's a small price to pay for sanity.

I've got to get my act together on back to school stuff. It starts in a couple weeks and I haven't done a thing.

My boys are in wk 3 of the third term of this year (we get 4) and we have 10 weeks in a term. I think Cam lost all his pencils and things last term sometime....Had to get him new one's soooo fustrating. Here's to the day when they realise that money doesn't grow on trees.
